To Catch a Butterfly: 17 Scholarships for Girls just like YOU!

Last night, after a game of "Catch the Reader" (our family version of tag - a treat when our kids read a whole story on their own) , I cuddled up with my six year old daughter on the couch completely winded and I told her that she reminds me of a butterfly. She thought I was crazy because I am a serious "bugaphob" but I told her that I think butterflies are beautiful to see but hard to catch. She gave me an eye roll, hopped off the couch and asked if she read another story could we play another round. Let's just say my hubby and I are quite sore this morning... and very proud.

Scholarships are a lot like butterflies. As you endlessly scroll though pages and pages of potential scholarships, trying to catch the scholarship that is just right. The ones that clearly were crafted just for you. You read each prerequisite and it screams at you, "APPLY NOW" but for some reason.... you hesitate. You don't apply. Some weird little voice in your head makes your confidence sway. You leave the page to move on because maybe your community service effort isn't quite unique enough or maybe you think there has be someone with a greater need since you may not hit every single bullet point listed.... STOP THAT! Your voice is unique. People want to hear your point of view. My own little butterfly's eye roll may have been because she thinks mommy is corny but I want her to know that she beautiful, strong and unique. So are you! So to help you along in your scholarship search, here are some scholarships that may just be the one(s) for you.
